Hi, everyone -- an invitation and a request…
First, we’d like to invite all of you to come to an event at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center to celebrate the transit of Venus -- Tuesday, June 5, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. We’ll have viewing of the transit, hands-on activities, live planetarium shows, science talks, and Morehead Observatory tours.
We’re located on the UNC campus in downtown Chapel Hill. The event is FREE, and most activities take place rain or shine. Details at: http://moreheadplanetarium.org/
And here’s the request:
If you own a solar telescope or can provide other safe ways* to view the transit, would you be willing to help provide views for the public at this event?

We are hoping for large crowds and would be grateful for any additional assistance CHAOS and RAC members can provide. (I’ve talked with a couple of you already – thank you!)
We hope you will join us at the event! (and please do let me know if you can help out)
Thanks,
Amy Sayle
