For those who don't check Bad Astronomy regularly, there's a nifty
article about the predicted collision of M31 with the Milky Way galaxy:

Doesn't say what's going to happen to all the satellite galaxies (ours
and theirs), but i expect they'll be swallowed up in the resulting
elliptical merged galaxy.
