This is my first post. I'm not a member of CHAOS but follow the listserve. My daughter attends Morehead Afterschool so I was planning on watching part of the transit there, but there was no parking and it was cloudy. So we went home and I watched the first 20 minutes on the internet. I have 2 pairs of eclipse viewers so at 6:45 when the clouds parted my daughter, son and I went out and saw the amazing transit happening. Then we went to dinner at Panzanella and met my wife, who took a look. A woman walking by saw us and I ask her if she wanted to, of course she wanted to and was very thankful to have a chance to see it. I then showed it to the rest of my family (mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law). Once seated, I asked our waitress if she wanted to see it. She took a turn and went outside and saw it. I teach first grade in Pittsboro and today I showed them some of the photos from the listserve and the photos on WRAL's website. I am so thankful to have had a chance to see it. And I loved reading others stories about their seeing the transit of Venus.
