[Chaos-l] Target

I can make out the lagoon nebula through my binoculars.  but I admit I have not tried that in town like this before so I don't have a good comparison.   

either way - knowing the sky when the power is out is completely awesome. 

Very quickly it is obvious that pre industrial people must have spent tons more time star gazing then modern people.  It's a very obvious past time on nights like this, even to non astronomy types.
