What observing?

Haven't been able to do much have we.

To let you know, we do have a public program scheduled at Medoc for Sept
15th, a Saturday.

I have been hoping and wishing that this weather pattern would break. Last
night the skies did clear, although I wasn't able to set up a scope. Did
take a walk and enjoy the cooler air and some naked eye observations.

Been so busy at work too, that it has kept me from really feeling like
getting out during the week. But I am really anxious to enjoy some
astronomy

Will be at Ocracoke this weekend.Melissa Thorner is already there, and Jason
and I are camping. Haven't really been anywhere this year much with new job
etc. But this will be a nice little two night jaunt, hope some of you are
able to get out and the weather will allow you to observe. If anyone wants
to go to Ocracoke you can still reserve a campsite. It is a neat place
right on the ocean. Haven't been able to get in the ocean in a long time,
so I am looking forward to if nothing else getting my feet wet, and some
fresh seafood.

Please all of you don't give up on the skies. I am hoping over the next few
weeks we'll see a change and get more active at Medoc. And I look forward
to fall star parties. Even if its' just the weekends for me right now.
Can't go too far. I ll have vacation again sometime in October.

I MISS getting together with you guys a lot. We have to work at getting it
going again soon. This has been one of the worst observing years so far I
can remember. It has to get better. Maybe last nights little taste is a
teaser. allen
