Debra and I watched the show b/w cloud scuds at the beach Saturday night from midnight to about 2:15 am.   We had a couple leave smoke trails and one exploded way South out over the ocean.   Probably not related to this meteor shower but cool enough to witness anyway!   Ironically, one of the coolest ones was a bright green one traveling South to North instead of roughly ENE to WSW (again, probably no related).  Most were very, very faint and short-lived though.  

We would have stayed up but keeping your eyes open waiting for 'something better' as Debra said, makes your eyes very tired!  Makes me admire you visual folks.  Eye fatigue triggers the body to rest even though we were already lying on our backs!
