[Chaos-l] weather and stuff

Well, once again the weather  looks very iffy on the weekend.  Last night
was the night to observe, but I had too much going on to go.  Thank goodness
the new roof is finished on the house after the mess we had two weeks ago.

 

I am still considering going to Staunton River this evening, but will wait
and see about weather.  The CSC and forecasts look a bit better for Medoc
than Staunton River.  The seeing also looks better at Medoc.  I wouldn't
mind a little road trip though.

 

I'll see later on and wait and see the verdict from CHAOS on that also.

 

IF nothing else I will go to Medoc if I don't go to SR.

 

I got up early this morning..my mother has a lab appt..and I cleaned my
Takahashi refractor lens using their cleaning kit.  It has been a couple of
years since a cleaning I think..and it needed it.  Came out well.  Didn't
take that long.about a half hour total..and I am good to go for another two
or three years.will be setting that up tonight hopefully.

 

The 20 " mirror is to be delivered to Spectrum Coatings today in FL for
recoat and hopefully I'll have that back in a few days.  Looking forward to
star parties, and yes folks...don't forget about our program at Medoc on Sat
Sept 15.

 

The weather seems to be breaking up a bit and I hope the trend continues for
a better fall.  The spring and summer sure have been the worst I have
experienced in many a year..maybe the worst I can remember.

 

Ill keep folks posted..anyone interested in Medoc if SR doesn't pan out?
