I looked and it looks awful. However, the CSC at Doughton Park looks good.
I am thinking of going there. Is anyone interested? allen

New CSC is out, and it looks terrible. Ugh. I will keep my eye on the
forecast, but will likely stay home unless there is compelling hope from
other sources.

My old astronomy club buddy Rich Michal called me this morning and reminded
me of the merit badge program they are giving at medoc at the picnic
shelter. I had planned to keep open my options..even thinking of going to
mountains to get some clear skies, but there isn't enough impetus for me to
drive a long distance. Medoc looks as good as anywhere.
CSC shows possibility of observing after Medoc. I particularly was glad to
see the seeing looked good, so even if the transparency isn't great we can
hope for a good luck at Jupiter.
I will show late this afternoon and help them with the program if I can, and
then plan to stay...if the weather looks iffy the first part of the night we
can visit some and/or take a nap. I am planning to stay the night and
have my mattress ready in the truck.
But I do hope we can show the kids something, and also use the wee hours to
our advantage.
Join us! allen
