This is extremely exciting!  Imagine having telescopes and eyepieces that
are optically perfect all the time, and also optics that weigh almost
nothing.  This article doesn't go into much detail about the physical
properties of this stuff, but maybe it would make it practical to have huge
refractors in place of reflectors!
