[Chaos-l] October 9th meeting

Hello everyone,

Our October 9th CHAOS meeting is quickly approaching. Our speaker this
month is Dr. Nicholas Gessler, Ph.D.

Dr. Gessler is a meteorite specialist and he will be talking about the
different types and how to find them.

In the past few weeks I have had several discussions about astronomy and
youth. We even have a speaker coming
to the Staunton River Star Party addressing this very subject.

As a club, we focus very well on out reach but now I would like for us
to focus on outreach and the youth.

Here is a goal for CHAOS, "To have 10 members under the age of 20 by April
of next year. Is it possible? I think it
is, We just have show the young, that astronomy is more than just looking
at the stars. It's talking with others and expanding
your knowledge. Everything they do in life is building on the knowledge of
the yesterday and today.

So invite a teen, home schooler, high or middle schooler. Let's help get
our nations future scientist excited again.
