I'm going to guess that is on top of the Gornergrat, am I right?  Even better, you can ride a train up to it!

But it is definitely not possible to see Matterhorn like that all the time.  In fact, the joke in Switzerland is that there are a fleet of helicopters on call for the tourist bureau to take photos when things look that great!
