Yes, i think this is a good theory, we have a few meteorite showers lately
and like I said before, a visual trick with a depth perception issue thrown
in and one could interpret any number of things.

I also wouldn't discount someone flying a small remote airplane at night,
those have become a lot more popular and I have seen people flying them
near Carrboro.  People are mounting cameras and taking video of fly overs
they do with them and it wouldn't surprise me if people were doing that at
night to tape city lights.
