Thanks to Robert for letting borrow the power cord! I wasn't sure about my
battery life with such a long night.

I don't have good astrophotography pictures, no stacking, still learning,
stair trails, etc but I have several shots that are personally satisfying
in terms of "better than last time" for me.

That said, I did get a few great shots of the 5am crescent moon and venus.
The pictures don't do it justice and I'm a but surprised how neat
conjunctions are to see live.

In one you can see the ranger checking the fire pit area. He looked at me
with his flashlight from the road and I assume he was giving me a funny
look for being there that early/late. I said hi.

I attached email versions of the dawn shots and one shot of Medoc at dawn.
One moon shot was near sunrise so it was washing out the moon but I thought
was interesting lighting.

We saw a lot of meteors last night. Especially after midnight. I think
the theory(from Robert I think) last night was that they were taurids which
are spread out over late oct and early nov, and especially with so many
fireballs.

I saw more meteors last night then when I got up early for the peak of the
Orionids.

One last thing - when taking the dawn shot of medoc I thought - daytime
photographers have it so easy!! you can find the buttons, you don't have
long exposures, you hardly need a tripod, your fingers aren't as frozen ...
