[Chaos-l] Saturday at Ebenezer

Hey folks:
Not much to see with Morehead at Ebenezer last Saturday night for the Scout troop who showed up right at 6p, but Amy treated them to a few stories, and there was some misty moongazing. Tried an amber filter to try to cut through the clouds and pick up some detail but viewing was extremely limited. That crowd dissipated by the time Jupiter rose, and there were a few moments of decent jovian viewing through the haze sufficient to please the 20 or so folks who either arrived late or stayed out. Steady breezes off the lake also shook the image some and made it all the colder. I'd say 50-60 came out over the course of the evening, but Amy probably took a better count.

Here's the observing area on Google Maps:

The green arrow is quite literally where everyone observes. The first time I went up there I drove around the park at least once, but this will get you there in one shot!
