I don't believe I've ever met Scott (I haven't made it the WSP yet either.)
More than anything the quality assurance on this particular scope was
lacking. When it arrived the focuser was very loose, several of the
corrector plate retaining screws were halfway out, and the focuser
extension tubes were bound together so tight I was sure they were welded. I
actually had to do leave them in the freezer for several hours before I
could wrench them apart.
I may step out onto the balcony in a bit and try to fine tune the
collimation. Inertia and warmth have me trapped on the couch at the moment
though. :)
