[Chaos-l] Lots of people and meteors at Jordan Lake last night

Hi, all -

We had a large and enthusiastic crowd at last night's skywatching session at Jordan Lake (Ebenezer Church Recreation Area).  About 350 people ooh-ed and ah-ed at the Geminid meteors.  Many newcomers, it seemed.  It was really gratifying to see so many willing to venture out on a cold weeknight to view nature's fireworks.

There's another public skywatching session scheduled for tonight (Friday 12/14), at Little River Regional Park. It's from 6-8 p.m.  Info and directions at our website:  http://www.moreheadplanetarium.org/
