i emailed Ryan at the park today to see if he has gotten any calls etc, but i haven't heard from him.

there were perhaps 4 or 5 of us that had said would go with scopes, but as you said the forecast doesn't look terrific. Clear sky clock not too good either.  

the best hope it looks like is if it will be clear enough early to look at Jupiter.  but who knows.

but i certainly couldn't blame anyone for not coming from a distance unless it looks better.

i am going because i am close and maybe it'll be ok for a while.

i'll only be setting up one scope however.  allen

AccuWeather indicates 46% after 7 pm on Saturday night.   Who exactly (public group) is coming?  At best we are looking at brief sucker hole astronomy.
