[Chaos-l] [Medoc-mountain-men] PROGRAM MEDOC TOMORROW

I'll be a last minute decision as well to see what the weather holds.
Honestly, it looks pretty poor, but I have the evening reserved for this if
there is a reasonable chance of observing. Allen needs to schedule more
clear nights for these events :) If things improve I could be out there by
about 6 - flights changed and my mother-in-law is coming in 4 hours later
than originally scheduled. I probably will just bring my dob. One item of
interest could be Toutatis - it's moving pretty fast (S&T Dec 12 p 53) but
something interesting that may stick with the kids and adults alike.

I really like the astrophotography commercial as advertising for our hobby,
but my knee jerk reaction was "only if it were that easy" especially with
as many shooting stars and the clarity of the images he captured in the
video. I did manage a few nice geminids yesterday.

My camera captured about 10 frames with shooting stars and I have a star
trail with a couple streaks in it. I visually observed at least 20 or 30.
Although freezing cold, it was a wonderful evening.
