[Chaos-l] New Ranger at Medoc

I just called the park to let them know a group was coming tonight.  i usually do this when the gates close early so they won't padlock the gate.  Jason is planning to be there early, so i don't think it was a problem, but i was able to talk to the new ranger. 



Her name is Sandra..didn't catch the last name.  She is closing tonight.  She seemed to be very nice and friendly.  I may actually try to ride up there in time to meet her before 600pm.  If i do, i'll have to go  home and get my scope.  But i would like to if i can. 



i invited her to stay and observe with us but she can't tonight. 



Anyway, Ryan had told us about Sandra, but this is the first time I have talked to her.  I told her that we always try to keep them informed about our presence there.  It is just the polite and the safe thing to do. 



So i'll look forward to meeting her...I told her i had been going to Medoc for over twenty years.  I told her we always try to return the favor by welcoming visitors and doing programs.   She seemed to know about us and i am sure we will get along with her fine as we have everyone at the park.  this will also be some relief to the park and give Ryan some relief about weekend duty. 



So i made that initial contact ... allen
