Your story reminds me of an old Looney Tunes where a penguin cried ice cubes.

I guess your ice cubes came from another source ..... Allen

Having grown up in Colorado, I can tell you it can get bitterly cold
and very windy there.
But its not like the upper midwest or Canada where it snows in October
and it stays there until April.
Colorado is technically high desert and they usually get over 300 days
of sun a year. So even when it snows 12 inches, a couple of sunny
days later, its gone.
But when I was younger and living in NW Colorado, near Dinosaur
National Monument, we would got tent camping every fall while going
Elk and Deer hunting. One year we had an early blizzard come in and
we had minus 30 degree nights with 12 inches of snow blowing around.
The old folks were smart and had infrared heaters in their tents. Us
kids had to toss extra wool blankets over our mummy bags to keep warm.
The worst was getting OUT of the sleeping bag to go to the bathroom
in the middle of the night <SHIVER>... =_)

BTW, surgery this morning went well. Eyes are pretty gunky from all
the meds, but vision is certainly good.
OK, back to bed to finish sleeping off the Valium...

Makes me marvel at all those folks up in the Great Lakes Region and Canada that persist through the Winter doing this hobby!!!!
