For those of you who went to Medoc this weekend and saw Comet K5 LINEAR, here is an interesting web page:

Let it load completely, and then look at the animated GIF near the bottom of the page.   It shows a compilation of 33 60-second photos taken 5 minutes apart ... and the comet is literally STREAKING across the image.   It's amazing how quickly it was moving that day (I think it was Dec 31st)!   So next time you look for it, I doubt it will be in the same part of the sky, where it was easy to find ...
