You know, I noticed some high clouds late in the afternoon, and as darkness
came, I saw a haze around the moon early. It seemed to clear up mostly for
a while...but when I went and got my burger at Hardees...around 700 pm or
so, I noticed some clouds in a ring around the horizon while I was coming
back to Medoc...it appeared that this ring closed in...from that point
onward the transparency continually got worse.
I had felt bad about not setting up..being so lazy...but I was glad in the
final analysis that I didn't.
But it was fun seeing folks and I enjoyed sitting and visiting at the fire.
A nice evening...allen

Well, Medoc was fun last night for a while ... lots of visitors from the
campsites with lots of children (who seemed interested ... always a good
thing!) But then before midnight some clouds started rolling in ... and
by11:00 PM it was mostly covered over. The CSC said nothing about that ...
and neither did any of the weather sites I looked at. Bummer!
But before the clouds came, I did have some nice views of Jupiter and the
Moon ... and discovered a new asterism that I'll call Nielsen-2. It was
also good to see Doug and Sims there, too! Come back and join us again!
Robert
