Thanks for the observing report Michael. I really wish I could've been there. I had planned to. But there's been so much going on with my mother's health lately. She has fallen several times in the past few weeks. We have another appointment Monday. She also  will be seeing a physical therapist , at home.  I have had a hard time convincing her that this is what is necessary. And that's what was going on last night. Sometimes these things just take precedence.  I hope this situation will improve soon. Sounds like I missed a great night I'm glad it turned out well.
Just wanted you guys to know I had a good reason for not coming last night.

        Last night at Medoc was really great, clear dark skies and the seeing was better than average.  Met up with Robert, who brought some firewood (thank-you), Jim and Alexey,  My thanks to Robert for allowing me to borrow his H-Beta filter to get a view of the Horsehead Nebula through my 10” Dob. and to Jim for taking the time to point out what reference stars to look for while searching for the horses head not only with the H-Beta filter but with a UHC as well.  Just before the moon rose we also got in a little galaxy hunting around Ursa Major and some observing of Jupiter as it was drifting to the south west.
