[Chaos-l] Staunton River Star Party

I'll certainly agree with Allen and Michael; the star party was
spectacular. The weather had me a bit concerned on Thursday but it cleared
up nicely after sunset. I enjoyed seeing and talking with everyone again
(it's been a while since I've been to Medoc). The cold got to me by
Saturday night, so I kept to myself and packed it in early. I did get to
spend some time listening to Allen and Robert engage the public. They were
possibly more enthusiastic than the people they were educating.

The crew at the park were just outstanding. It was a bit muddy on Thursday
and a few people got stuck but Brent was quick to the rescue. Not even
crawling around in the mud on a cold day could stop him from smiling. I
also enjoyed the late night visits to the snack bar and the variety of good
food it had to offer. Adam and Stephanie were great company, as always, and
expressed genuine interest in the pictures I was taking/processing/sharing.
It's nice that we're more than just another event. Great attitudes and
personalities all around.

I'm already counting down for the October party!
