Lovely night at Little River last night. We followed the Clear Sky Clock even when things were looking bad in the sky.
In that regard, we are going to follow CSC again and cancel the Saturday night skywatching at Jordan Lake.
There might be some clearing late in the evening, but wind gusts and a good chance of showers or thunderstorms have scared us off.
We'll try again next month - Friday, April 5, for the Statewide Star Party. Morehead will be at Ebenezer Church Recreation Area that night, but Little River will also be hosting skywatching......altogether 45 sites across the state. Please plan to join one. http://www.ncsciencefestival.org/special-opportunities/starparty/

Well, the soup is thickening but the observing session is currently still on. Jupiter and double stars may be the order.
The public will show up even with a thin layer of clouds. We hope to see some of you there.
