Absolutely! We'd be glad to have your son and you as members. The fee to join CHAOS is $25/yr and that will cover the family. We meet every second Tuesday of every month at Carol Wood Retirement community in Chapel Hill. Carol Woods is located at 750 Weaver Dairy Rd. 
  
We have several viewing sessions every month and as members you are welcome to join us of course. That is the best way to learn the skies.

Hello all, 
I am Hargo from Apex, NC and would like to know more about sky observation, especially because my 11 year old son seems to have interest in it.  Would it be possible to become CHAOS members for both of us? I prefer to join CHAOS since my older son just got admitted to UNC-CH. I have a Meade ETX90 but haven't use it that much. Please let me know what to do to gain some knowledge and enjoy the sky better.  Thanks.
