Dear People and Friends of the Advocate
Attached, and pasted below, are directions to the various locations  
for the Advocate's Holy Week liturgies.
These directions, as well as any additions or updates, will be posted  
on the Advocate website: www.ouradvocate.org.
The Advocate community has found that meeting in these various  
locations helps us all to participate more fully in the ritual,  
memory, solemnity and beauty of these days.
Please join us as you are able.

+ Holy Week at the Advocate, 2007
Directions to various locations

Palm Sunday, April 1

+ Procession with Palms and Holy Eucharist -- 5:00 PM at the  
Kehillah            ** (see directions below).

Monday of Holy Week, April 2
+ Holy Eucharist at the Occasional Chapel at Ephesus Place* (see  
directions below). 12 Noon.

Tuesday of Holy Week, April 3
+ Holy Eucharist at the Occasional Chapel at Ephesus Place* (see  
directions below).. 12 Noon.

Wednesday of Holy Week, April 4
+ Holy Eucharist at the Occasional Chapel at Ephesus Place* (see  
directions below).. 12 Noon.

Maundy Thursday, April 5            6:30 PM.                         
(bring a flashlight)
+ Dinner fellowship (food provided), foot-washing and Table  
Eucharist. The Rt. Rev. Michael Curry, Bishop of North Carolina,  
Presiding. At Camp New Hope.
Directions to Camp New Hope From Durham and points North:
Take I-85 to exit 165.
Turn left off of the exit onto Hwy 86. Continue down 86.
Cross New Hope Church Rd.
New Hope Camp and Conference Center will be on your right. Go past  
the church and into the New Hope Camp and Conference Center gates.  
The Advocate will be in the lodge at the top of the hill to the left.

Directions to Camp New Hope From downtown Chapel Hill:  Take Historic  
Airport Road/Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., north toward Hillsborough.  
Cross over I-40 (Historic Airport Rd./MLK Blvd. becomes Hwy 86). Go  
three miles on Hwy 86. Signs for New Hope Camp and Conference Center  
and New Hope Presbyterian Church will be on both sides of the road.  
Turn left into the driveway for New Hope Presbyterian Church. Go past  
the church and into the New Hope Camp and Conference Center gates.  
The Advocate will be in the lodge at the top of the hill to the left.

Good Friday, April 6
+ The Way of the Cross through downtown Carrboro. Meet at Carrboro  
Town Hall. 301 West Main Street in Carrboro (we end at the old  
Carrboro Cemetery). 2-3 PM            (no dogs, please)

+ The Wake. Gather around the icon of Jesus in the Sepulcher and  
share stories of Jesus, hear readings from Scripture and tradition  
and meditate on the events of Holy Week. At Ephesus Place* (see  
directions below). 8PM - 11PM.

Saturday Night, Easter Eve, April 7            At the Kehillah** (see  
directions below), 10 PM
+ The Great Vigil of Easter with Renewal of Baptismal Vows. This is  
our liturgy of Easter, when we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord  
in the darkness of night. (As you are able, please bring a bell, horn  
or whistle to accompany the Paschal Shout).

Easter Day, April 8            at High Hill                        12  
Noon.
+ We’ll gather at the Gwyn home at High Hill for Eucharist, an  
Easter egg hunt and Advocate Feast (As you are able, bring a dish to  
share. Ham provided. Kids bring a basket for your eggs).
Directions to High Hill From Chapel Hill, take 15-501south towards  
Pittsboro.
Mt. Carmel  Church Road is just past the bridge over Morgan Creek  
(just barely out of Chapel Hill).
Turn left on Mt Carmel Church Road, and go 2 miles.
Take a right onto Clearwater Lake Road.
Go 3/10 of a mile and turn left at the #1700 green mailbox...up,up  
the hill.              933-3965.

*Directions to Ephesus Place
 From 15-501 by-pass at Eastgate Shopping Center in Chapel Hill — by  
the 501 Diner -- turn on to Ephesus Church Road, away from Eastgate  
(so that the Holiday Inn is on your RIGHT).
Proceed about a half a mile.
Just as you see the sign for school zone, and drive over the word  
SCHOOL, be alert.
Ephesus Place is on your LEFT, just before the School parking lot. It  
is marked by a small brown sign with white letters.
On weekends or weeknights, please park in the school parking lot,  
then walk over to 1489 Ephesus Place — it's the apartment at the  
end, perpendicular to the others.
During the day, during the week, you can park in the parking lot for  
the apartments.

** Directions to the Kehillah
1200 Mason Farm Road

Follow 15-501 South to Mason Farm Road.

Turn North onto Mason Farm Road.

The Kehillah is a half mile down Mason Farm Road, on the left.
