Just FYI: Keep in mind, however, that the Council of Churches is a
strictly Christian organization, representing different denominations
not different faiths. Here's the text from the "Who We Are" page on
its site.
WHO WE ARE
From efforts on behalf of farmworkers, to encouraging the protection
of God's earth, to exposing racism within the criminal justice
system, the North Carolina Council of Churches is at the forefront of
progressive social issues that go to the heart of whom God would have
us to be. By drawing together members of 15 Christian denominations
in this work, the Council also serves our other key focus, Christian
unity.
