[Eenc-board] EENC 2008 Conference Site

$250-$300 is a lot of cash! I know I would be unable to attend at that rate. Think about the cost of transportation and teachers who have to pay $50 to $75 per day for a Sub.
If we want to attract lots of people, we need to look at keeping the cost down.
Is it possible to locate a campsite where us "po folks" could stay?

Does this mean there would be no one day or commuter rates? I think we had
a lot of those this year. You might want to check the registration list for
this year. I think those rates make the conference affordable for a lot of
people--to just attend on specific days. If everyone had to pay the whole
conference rate--$250-300, it might really limit our attendance. And we
can't afford to just absorb those costs, if that is what we have to pay to
the Conference Center.

Maybe an option is to have day-rate/commuters eat in one of the cottages,
instead of with the group. However, that negates some of the networking
benefits.
