Good Morning!
I have a couple of conference related questions for you guys.

1.  I still need a couple of Conference Committee positions filled...
     Auction Chair & Registration Chair
     Transportation Volunteer & Volunteer Coordinator
     We also need many Funraising and Publicity Volunteers for 
throughout the state.

2.  Please forward any ideas you may have about possible keynote 
speakers for the Eco-reception at the aquarium on Saturday night.  Peggy 
Sloan, our Eco-reception Chair will be working on this in the next few 
weeks.  (So speak up now)

3.  I am considering the following conference strands please forward any 
clever titles or new ideas...
         Beyond the Basics:  from learning to identify various frogs in 
North Carolina to using new technology I want this strand to help our 
members learn new skills that will help them become better environmental 
educators.
          EE Fundamentals:  Many environmental educators fell lovingly 
into their profession.  I hope this strand will help many of our members 
gain the basic knowledge and abilities outlined in NAAEE's           
Guidelines for the Preparation and Professional Development of 
Environmental Educators.                    Sessions could include 
topics on Environmental Literacy, the history of EE, Education not 
Advocacy, etc.
          Emerging Science:  As environmental educators, it is important 
to stay current.  I hope this strand will help each of us stay current 
in our field.
          EE is not just for Science:  This strand will help formal and 
nonformal educators learn new techniques and lessons for squeezing EE 
into subject areas other than science.
