At the time, the problem was that we could only transfer $500 at a time 
(like, maybe, per month) FROM the PayPal account to our checking 
account.  You could use the money in the PayPal acct. to pay for other 
purchases THROUGH PayPal, but we couldn't "withdraw" it easily.  Thus, 
most of our conference income was locked up in PayPal and we couldn't 
write regular checks.   I don't know if that policy is still true.  If 
it's not, then I think PayPal would again be a good idea.  If you were 
willing to research the fine details about current rules for use of an 
account, that would be terrific.
