[Triangle Folk] Upcoming Triangle Folk Music Society Concert

Dear Members and Friends of the Triangle Folk Music Society,

On Friday, September 16th, you have a rare chance to see and hear North 
Carolina legend, Peggy Seeger sponsored by the Triangle Folk Music Society.

Peggy Seeger plays piano, banjo and guitar, and is a singer of traditional 
songs as well as her own compositions. Over her long career, she has recorded 19 
of her own albums and has appeared on 'more records than she can remember."

In the mid-1970's she began to concentrate on feminist and ecological 
issues.  Two of her best- known songs are "The Ballad of Springhill" and "I'm Gonna 
Be an Engineer".  

Peggy is a member of the well-known Seeger family.  She is the daughter to 
Ruth and Charles, the half-sister of Pete and the sister of Mike, all of whom 
have made enormous contributions to the popularization and preservation of folk 
music.
