Bill,

The entire board was invited to our meeting in an e-mail I sent on March 29, 2005 at 4:46 PM. We have always informed our board when we are meeting and shared open communication via e-mail.

Thanks,

Jeff

  Hi Jeff and TGC Team,

  Nice job on the report.

Don't forget that I should be informed of and/or included on the membership list for both of these committees. In fact, it wouldn't hurt if you copied the entire board when you finalize details on your committee meetings.

I was begging a guy I met on the Reedy Creek Greenway in Raleigh yesterday, with a lot more experience with websites than I, to help us with our website. He said that the Triangle Mountain Bike group was looking for the same!

I changed the PDF membership form on the website to reflect what the brochure says. I'll check the other portions of the site for this as well.

Again, thank you for the report.

  Happy Trails,

  Bill Bussey

    Dear TGC Team,

The Finance and Membership Committee had our lunch meeting today in Chapel Hill. Here is what I would like to share with you:

1.) Dave and the Membership Committee will send out renewal letters for memberships when they are due. They will also maintain the TGC database in conjunction with the Finance Committee.

2.) Dave will investigate the cost of a mass mailing for envelops, printing, and the need for official letterhead. He will present this at the next Board meeting. This will be a direct mailing just for memberships. I have sent Dave the 2000 TGC database.

3.) We all agreed that if each TGC Board member would go and get 5-10 new members this would be a huge help.

4.) We all agreed that the website needs a more professional look and needs to be updated. This is often the first place people will review us as a non-profit. The current levels of membership that are in our TGC brochure and what is reflected on the website are not the same. Larkin will need to review the 1997 minutes to see what was officially passed.

5.) The need for a hard copy newsletter was discussed but we were unsure of who and what committee could undertake this large task.

6.) William will send out an e-mail talking about the membership dates that are shown in the by-laws.

Dave and William - if I left anything out please feel free to share it with the group.

    Thanks,

    Jeff Brewer
