[Greenway-board] Committee Meetings

Hi TGC Team,

Thanks to all who came to our June meeting this past Monday night. It 
was great to see everyone.

Something I noticed that I meant to mention was that apparently our most 
of our committees have not been meeting. We had no reports to speak of 
from any committee other than the Land Trust Committee. Great job, Bill!

We had a very brief report from the Promotion and Education Committee, 
but that was mainly a report about the National Trails Day event, which 
I had to ask about (literally drag out) because of my own curiosity. It 
was great to hear that this event was a success.

Please remember that in our recent Action Plan that we completed late 
last year, we made the commitment to develop and strengthen our 
Committee structure. In fact, we wanted for most of TGC's work to be 
done by our committees. I've attached our Action Plan in Word to refresh 
our memory.

In order to do this, we need to have our committees meeting regularly. 
This can be done by face-to-face meetings, conference call, or even email.

We need to have regular committee reports at our monthly meetings. I'll 
always include a spot on the agenda for our committee reports. We all 
hope that each committee will utilize these!

Also, please encourage your contacts to join the TGC by participating in 
our committees. Invite a friend to come along with you to our committee 
meetings as well as our monthly meetings.

Please, Please, Please let me know what I can do to help facilitate your 
committee work and meetings. I'm committed to doing whatever I can to 
help all of our committees prosper. Let me know when you meet, and I'll 
do my darndest to be there. If you need anything regarding your 
committee business, or TGC business, please do not hesitate to contact 
me anytime.
