We have discussed the membership categories and benefits but I believe no final official action has been taken. Here is a suggestion that can be considered at the Board meeting Monday:

All members to receive a newsletter, alerts of activities, annual report, and notification of the annual meeting:

$10 - Senior citizen and (full time) student
$20 - individual and a family membership (one person in family is contact)
$25 - group, including government agency, corporation, and nonprofit (one person is contact)

The following categories will also receive, in addition to a one-year membership, a copy of Allen de Hart's book on Trails of the Triangle or North Carolina Hiking Trails, and will be listed on the website:

$100 - $499 Sponsor
$500 - $999 Patron - will also receive a special on how the donated funds were used (we should do this for the Progress Energy gift this year).
$1000 and over --will also receive a special report on how the funds are used

  Hi William,

Yep, I'll put it on the agenda for final action.

Can you come up with a list of the Membership categories that you and your committee like and send them out to this list and to the Board list prior to the meeting?. Different versions of the brochure used different categories.

Choose and list something you think best. Send it out to this list. We can discuss it if needed before the meeting. And we'll go for it at the meeting.

  Happy Trails,

I do not have record of any formal action on the membership categories but I thought what Bill put in the new brochure was generally agreed on.
I also do not know if any formal action was taken on the specific benefits associated with the sponsor, patron, and benefactor. I missed the June meeting.
    Does anyone remember?
Bill, want to put this on the agenda for a final action?
    William
