Hi Leslie,

Good questions and points.

1. There are a lot of "senior citizens" out there who don't care to
refer to themselves as such. Also, many are doing a lot better
financially than most of us/you younger folks, thank you!

I'd suggest leaving out the specific age, and let the prospective member
decide whether they want to join as a "senior citizen." In other words,
if they send in $10 and request the Senior Citizen membership, then we
give it to them. If they ask the membership chair or any Board member
what age constitutes this membership, tell them it is whatever age they
think it should be. If they want the senior citizen membership, and they
mention they are 55, give it to them. I think AARP uses 55 or even 50.
That's great. We just want them as a dues paying member.

Someone might offer the 65 or older figure. That would be fine too! We
aren't going to be checking their age.

Again, just leave it the way it is. If folks want to join at whatever
rate they like, we'll let them. We'll take them at their word. We just
want their membership!

2. Yep, saying that each member gets the right to vote would be easy.
I'll offer suggested wording below in color.

Just a couple questions about the membership categories:
 1. Do we want to specify what age is considered a "senior citizen"?
Are we thinking age 65 and over?
 2. Do we want to note that each member receives the right to vote on
issues at the annual meeting?

See you Monday -- Leslie
