[Greenway-board] August Meeting Agenda

Hi Bill,

I should have this in my files. I'll compile it and send it to this list.

Yep, we do need to take positions on greenway advocacy issues. That is
our principal purpose! If TGC doesn't do it, there are only a limited
number or organizations who will.

We should be communicating with everyone who will listen and can have a
role in the decision. These include the staff of the municipalities and
governmental organizations, the elected officials, who often can direct
staffs overall direction, as well as other non governmental
organizations with similar interests.

Thanks for mentioning the upcoming Annual Meeting and future Board
membership. I was planning to make note of this in our meeting, but I
guess we got too carried away with the issues.

According to our recent Strategic Plan. We are ALL members of the
Nominating Committee! We are all responsible for bringing new candidates
in for consideration.

I strongly urge you to be on the lookout for folks who have an interest
in trails and greenways, land trust, and conservation issues, in all of
your daily interactions. Please feel free to invite them to our next
meeting. Bring them to the attention of this list. If you feel that they
would gain by being a part of this email list, so they can see what we
are doing and be a part of our online discussions, let me, Don, or Jeff
know and I'll be happy to add them. Let me know, and I'll be delighted
to give them a call. I'm sure any of you will be happy to call them as well.

Happy Trails,

Bill Bussey
