[Greenway-board] Re: UPDATE - Brimley Brothers Trail Naming Application

Bill --- you got it. I understand their concern about naming facilities 
for people, because it can easily get political and out-of-hand, even if 
there are specific conditions on what is allowed [such as, the person 
has to have been deceased for X-years before they can be considered]. So 
our alternatives seem to be: (1) object to the proposed policy 
amendment, (2) suggest a set of conditions to guide/inform consideration 
of applications for naming greenway facilities for people, and/or (3) 
not oppose the amendment, but seek a specific commitment for recognition 
of the Brimley brothers in the Walnut Creek Wetlands Park and education 
center project. Whichever alternative is pursued, we will have to engage 
the PR&G Advisory Board and City Council as this moves forward.
