[Greenway-board] TGC meeting

Hi Jeff,

Yes, we are having a meeting on Monday night. It just won't be 
considered our Annual Meeting.

Earlier I suggested having an Annual Meeting at El Dorado Mexican 
restaurant on NC 55 on the edge of RTP. I've only heard from Leslie 
about this, so I presume this will be OK with everyone. I'll go ahead 
and make reservations for that night.

I received your message earlier this week about wanting to step down. 
Sorry to hear this. We'd sure appreciate you staying on. Don would 
appreciate all of the experienced help he can get as he takes over as 
President this year. He is planning on some major changes that I'm sure 
you would want to be part of, and that he would appreciate your help in.

Thus, I would hope you would reconsider and remain as Treasurer for 
another year.

Nevertheless, on behalf of the rest of the Board of the Triangle 
Greenways Council, i'd sure like to thank you for your years of service 
to the TGC. You have served our organization, as well as the Triangle 
area very, very well over the years. Though many may not know it, 
Triangle area trail users are in your debt and owe you a mountain of 
gratitude for your service.

We have been grateful for your service in your role as Treasurer, having 
taken our books and finances to another level since you started. Our 
funds are now being invested and are growing. This will enable us to 
grow in the future, as well as have more influence as a Land Trust. 
Thank you for all of your great work and contributions.

While we know you are continuing your fine work with the MST, which 
under your capable leadership continues to make a lot of progress toward 
completion.

Plus, you noted in your message that you will be continuing in your role 
as NC Chair, or chief contact with the National Trails Day events. These 
events have multiplied in NC under your able leadership and stewardship. 
Now at least a few of these events receive some sort of press coverage 
each year.
 
These are just a few of your many accomplishments. On behalf of the rest 
of us involved with the Triangle Greenways Council, I'd like to thank 
you for your service throughout the years. We sure hope you will 
consider continuing as Treasurer for at least another year.
