Preservation Durham's Renovators NETWORK Goes Back in Time!!!

Preservation Durham presents its latest workshop of 2007, entitled
Researching Historic Properties, a Renovators Network Program. Victor Gordon
will show you how to research your historic home or commercial building. You
will learn how to use readily available resources to document it for
historic site or district nomination, or to qualify for preservation tax
credits.

The program begins 10:00 AM Saturday morning, July 21 at the Preservation
Durham office at the corner of Mangum and Parrish Streets in downtown
Durham. Refreshments will be provided by Paul Yale of SunTrust Mortgage.

Renovators Network workshops are free and open to the public. They are
typically held on the third Saturday of each month but the location varies.
No reservations are required.

Since 1997, the Renovators' Network has presented many exciting programs
covering a wide range of topics about buying, researching, renovating, and
maintaining older homes. At our workshops, participants learn from experts
in all aspects of older home ownership, from bankers to landscape gardeners,
historians to electricians, decorators to plumbers, and share their own
experiences in home renovation.

Preservation Durham's mission is to preserve the history, architecture, and
cultural heritage of Durham and Durham County and to serve as an institution
for the education of citizens through the promotion and appreciation of this
heritage. Founded in 1974 as the Historic Preservation Society of Durham,
Preservation Durham has achieved a regional reputation as one of North
Carolina's outstanding historic preservation non-profits.
