Leslie M. Alexandre, president and chief executive officer of the North 
Carolina Biotechnology Center <http://www.ncbiotech.org/>, will present 
the keynote address, speaking on the topic: 
“Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Trends: A Futuristic Perspective.”

Panel session presenters include NC State College of Management faculty 
with supply chain management expertise and key practitioners from the 
biopharma industry.

“Participants will identify innovative strategies, cutting-edge ideas, 
new concepts and workable implementation plans with which to lead their 
organizations into the new millennium,” says Mitch Javidi, director of

The focus of this year’s forum is "Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Supply 
Chain Modernization and Optimization." Four panel sessions will address 
the most challenging supply chain issues facing pharmaceutical

- Optimizing commercial operations
- Optimizing healthcare education
