 Dear Colleagues,

 This is a reminder that the November meeting of the Informatics Cluster
Network will be held on November 9th from 8-9:30AM at our normal location at
the Research Triangle Regional Partnership's offices at the RDU airport
authority. The topic of this meeting will be Emerging Technologies- RTRP
Companies and Researchers-Secure Systems. We have an additional speaker,
Scott Palmquist, who was not listed on the original invitation.

 Our panel of speakers will be:

 *Scott Palmquist, Vice President, CipherOptics*. Scott will discuss the
latest developments in high-speed network data protection at CipherOptics.

*T.J. Smith, Principal Scientist for RTI's Center for Advanced Network
Research. *TJ will discuss the Center's work designing new security
mechanisms for distributed information systems and other network
architectures

 *Stephen Irwin, President, New Ventures Planning. *Stephen has wide ranging
national experience in the Information Security industry and will provide
insight on the growing security-related cluster in the Triangle
