The monthly meeting of the Clinical Research Professionals of North
Carolina (a chapter of SoCRA also referred to as NC East or the RTP
chapter) will be held on Monday, December 5, 2005, at DCRI, Durham, from
6:00 to 7:00 PM in the *Lower Lecture Hall*.

This month's meeting will feature Lori Rose; Vice President of Project
Operations at Constella Group, LLC, and Ms. Rose will be speaking on a
subject we are all familiar with, natural disasters and clinical
research the first of two programs. A brief biosketch for Ms. Rose can
be found below.

SPEAKER: Lori Rose, BSN, MS*

SUMMARY*:
As Vice President of Project Operations at Constella Group, LLC. Lori
Rose oversees the operations of clinical research trials across all
functional areas: monitoring, project management, data management,
medical writing and biostatistics to ensure quality project service
delivery.

Lori has 15 years of clinical research experience. Lori joined Resource
Solutions, Inc. (RSI) in November 1995 to oversee the clinical trials
staff. When RSI was acquired in 2003 by Constella Group, LLC., Lori made
the transition and continued to head up the clinical trials operations
division. Prior to joining RSI, she worked at Medco Research as a senior
clinical research associate, and at ClinTrials Research Inc. as a
Serious Adverse Effects associate and a clinical research associate.
  From 1981 to 1993, Lori was a practicing charge nurse and clinical
research nurse with various hospitals and organizations.

She received her M.S. in nursing from East Carolina University, her B.S.
in nursing from the University of North Carolina and her Diploma of
nursing from Lenoir Memorial School of Nursing. She is currently working
on her Ph.D in business: organization and management at Capella
University with an anticipated graduation date of June 2006. Lori is a
certified clinical research associate with the Association of Clinical
Research Professionals.
Directions to DCRI Duke University North Pavilion >From I-40 West take
the Durham Expressway/ NC 147 (Exit 279B) Continue on the Durham
Expressway. Exit on Hillandale Rd. / Fulton St. (exit 15b) Stay in the
left lane. At the light at the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Fulton
Street. Go past the parking garage and North Pavilion Buildings Turn
left onto Pratt St., Take the first drive on the left, at the stop sign,
and turn left again towards the front of the building Enter garage at
the Patient and Visitor Only entrance. You will need to take a ticket to
enter. The numbers of the garage floors do not match the floors in the
building, so the main entrance of the building is actually Floor 2 of
the garage. As soon as you enter the building (security is on your
right), a flight of stairs is directly in front of you. Turn left and
proceed to the elevators. The meeting room is on the 7th floor - Room 7015.

past Greensboro, Burlington, 85 will merge with 70, and later with
15-501 by-pass Get off exit at Hillandale Road, Exit 174 Turn right, go
past the Hillandale Golf course Continue straight, go under 147, Street
name will change to Fulton Go past the Duke University parking garage
and North Pavilion Buildings Turn left onto Pratt Street, which is the
first left Continue on Pratt (very short road). Take your first left. At
the stop sign, turn left again toward the front of the building Enter
garage at the "Patient and Visitor Only" entrance. You will need to take
