Clinical Data Acquisition Standards Harmonization Initiative
* Rationale
* The Purpose of the Meeting
* Target Participants
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Rationale
The current clinical trial data collection environment
for investigative sites is not extremely conducive to
increasing recruitment of new investigators or
subjects, or to efficient data management or
review.
The implementation of data collection standards at
sites will improve and streamline data collection,
handling, review, assessment for all stakeholders
globally, (i.e. patients, sites, sponsors, and
regulatory reviewers) while at the same time
facilitating data quality and integrity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* The Purpose of the Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to initiate the CDASH
project, an FDA Critical Path Opportunity initiated by
ACRO that will be supported through a Collaborative
Group of fourteen organizations and led by CDISC.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Target Participants
The workshop is designed for volunteers that can
commit to actively working on streams (sub-
group
teams) to development data collection standards
(CRF variables).
This will require availability for teleconferences and
subsequent face-to-face meetings as required to
ensure the development and initial consensus of
deliverables.
Volunteers with expertise in the following areas are
encouraged to participate: Clinical Research
Associates, Clinical Research Coordinators, Project
Leaders/Managers, Database Programmers,
Data
Managers, Investigators, Statisticians, Medical
Writers, etc.
