*Canadian Clinical Trials Workshop*
*A free workshop on doing clinical trials in Canada will be offered on
Wednesday, November 1, 2006, from 8:30 am to 2:00pm at the North Carolina
Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park. The workshop,
entitled "Clinical Trials in *Canada: Maximizing the Outcome, Minimizing
the Cost," is sponsored by the Canadian Consulate in Raleigh.
*This program will feature eight experts from Canada and their US
counterparts, discussing a comparison of the FDA and Health Canada's
Clinical Trial regulations and regulatory practices; working with CRO's;
patient recruitment practices and working with research institutes in
Canada; legal agreements from both US and Canadian perspectives; privacy
issues; Canada's R&D tax incentive program, and case studies/discussions
presented by Amgen Canada, Inc.; Argos Therapeutics; Tranzyme Pharma; and
Talecris Biotherapeutics. *
