The 2006 BioPharma Forum will be held at the North Carolina 
Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park, featuring presentations 
on key issues by leaders of major pharmaceutical companies as well as 
new firms in the industry. Speaking at this year’s BioPharma Forum are:

* George B. Abercrombie, president and chief executive officer, 
Hoffmann-La Roche Inc.
Topic: The Company's Approach to the Bird Flu Pandemic
* Robert McMahan, senior science and technology advisor to the State of 
North Carolina and executive director, NC Board of Science and Technology
* Indu Parikh, president and chief scientific officer, and Thomas H. 
Roberg, vice chairman and chief development officer, BioMarck 
Pharmaceuticals
Topic: Working in a Virtual Innovation Environment
* John R. Plachetka, president, chief executive officer and chairman of 
the board of directors, POZEN
Topic: the POZEN story
* Chris Viehbacher, president, U.S. Pharmaceuticals, GlaxoSmithKline
Topic: Changing the Healthcare Industry: Prevention, Intervention, 
Innovation

The event begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 7 
a.m., and will conclude by 1 p.m. Each executive will give a 45 minute 
presentation followed by a 15 minute question-answer session. 
Abercrombie will begin with a presentation at 8:20 a.m., followed by 
Parikh and Roberg, Plachetka, and Viehbacher.

There is no charge to attend the BioPharma Forum, thanks to the support
