A Duke University-led coalition co-founded by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical trials
has named a 12-member executive board to oversee its activities.

The public-private partnership, called the Clinical Trials
Transformation Initiative (CTTI), was formed in the wake of growing
frustration among patients, consumers, academia and industry over the
difficulty of conducting high-quality clinical trials as quickly as
possible.
