Mark your calendars! The next combined AMC / BAID Cluster Networks
meeting is coming up on June 25, 2008. It will be held at the Council
for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) in Durham. We would love to have
you attend and bring guests to this event. Please contact Chel

Hold the Date!!  June 25, 2008

This is to announce the upcoming BAID/AMC Cluster Meeting scheduled
June 25, 2008 at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED),
100 Capitola Dr, Durham.  The guest speaker is Dr. Richard
Frothingham, MD, SM(NRM), CBSP, FACP, and Assistant Professor of
Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, Duke University Medical Center,
who will be speaking on : R&D Priorities for Emerging Infections and
Biodefense.

Dr. Richard Frothingham, MD is the current Associate Director of the
Duke Human Vaccine Institute and Director Regional BioContainment Lab
(RBL) at Duke. He will be speaking on these points:

    * Impact of emerging infections and biological threats
    * Major NIH funded Initiatives in the Triangle: SERCEB & RBL
    * Modified NIH priorities for emerging infection and biodefense research
    * Resources at Duke and in the Southeast region to support R&D



The BAID and AMC Cluster Networks will have an opportunity to network
and reestablish connections at this meeting. Walk-ins are always
welcomed and all Clusters may attend any meeting. Networking and
refreshments start at 8:00am with the meeting beginning at 8:30am. We
will adjourn at 9:30am.
