NC State University's IES is pleased to announce that Thomas
Vanderkin, Business Development Manager for Lenovo USA will be
co-presenting with Mr. Ward Valentine of SMA Microsystems of Virginia
at the June, 24, 2008 RTRP Informatics Cluster Network meeting being
held at the RDU Airport Authority Building at RDU.  Mr. Vanderkin will
address the challenges of the global environment in which technical
companies are operating and Lenovo's participation in that market.
The combined presentation will be informative and well worth your

H. WARD VALENTINE, JR.



H. "Ward" Valentine, Jr. is an Executive Vice President for SMA
Microsystems of Virginia in Wake County (www.smamicrosystems.com) and
has over 20 years of corporate management experience. He is
responsible for executive level aspects of the company which include
operations, finance and business development.  In the role of
Executive Vice President, Ward is involved with all operational
aspects of the business and escalation issues for SMA's large account
customers including IBM, AIMCO and Lenovo.



In 2007, Ward became a partner in Phoenyx Inc., which is a management
consulting firm operating in both North Carolina and Virginia.
Phoenyx provides its clients expertise in the areas of IT staffing, IT
branding and 8(a) SBA federal contracting.



Ward holds MS degree in MIS from Strayer University.  He also holds a
BS degree in Internetworking Technology.
