             General Interest

Greetings!

Plans for starting a Toastmaster's club for Techengage are under way. This
will be a public club, open to all technical people.

Toastmasters is the best way to improve your communication and leadership
skills in a non-threatening environment among peers.

Through weekly one-hour meetings, you can practice public speaking and learn
skills that will help you interview more effectively and be more successful
in delivering presentations, leading teams and conducting meetings, and
being a better listener.

Bart Queen is a TechEngage Board member and will work with us to provide
communication workshops that will really accelerate your learning.

We need 20 members to charter a new club. The yearly membership fee is $54.

Please contact me by Nov. 18th, if you are interested in joining the
TechTalk Toastmaster's club for TechEngage.

Sincerely,

Connie Marthinsen <Connie.Marthinsen at sas.com>
